TORMENT SHAKE

Having parched his throat from walking under the Sun of life, the only drink he could get was the Torment shake – choicest of fruits from an orchard of angst, blended with repugnance, flavoured with a pinch of guilt, garnished with some anxiety and served in a glass of detest.

Drink it or don’t- kills you both ways. Whoops! Perplexing!

‘चिता’

चेहचहाते हैं पंछी कि मौसम खुशनुमां, हवा ताज़ा है,

सूखी शाखाओं को नयी पोशाक मिलने का अंदाज़ा है |

पतझड़ ये जैसे, लाता खुशियाँ हज़ार, बेशुमार प्यार है

….पर दूजी ओर…

दम तोड़ते यादों के उन पत्तों को, इक चिता का इंतज़ार है |

PYRE

‘PYRE’ 

Birds chirp around in the pleasant, fresh breeze

Spring brings along an ease, curing every disease

Trees ooze out glee with the change of their attire

….and somewhere….

leaves of pain rustle, as if asking to rest on gloom’s pyre.
